The Esmark Stars and Cleveland Barons squared off a home and away series this past weekend, Ja. 26 & 27, with the U18 and U16 squads meeting in Pittsburgh on Saturday and in Cleveland on Sunday.

The U16 Stars captured a tough 2-1 win on Saturday as Connor Strobel earned the win in goal.  The Stars completed the sweep with a 3-0 shutout win on Sunday in Cleveland as Alexander Schelkanov picked up the shutout and win in goal for Esmark.  The wins upped the U16 Stars overall record to 23-16-2-2.

The U18 Stars skated to a 9-3 win on Saturday as four Stars players collected a pair of goals (Alexi Mance, JT Schmizzi, Raman Yerameichyk and Jackson Dobbs ... Dustin Gergach also scored a goal). Danny Mitchell earned the win in goal. On Sunday, the  Stars with a shorthanded bench, fell to the Barons 4-3 in Cleveland.  Parker Rey suffered the defeat in goal. The weekend splits leaves the Stars with a 33-10-1-1 overall record.

The U15 Stars enjoyed the weekend off.
