The Esmark Stars U14 AAA team traveled to Rochester, NY, Jan. 26 - 28, to participate in the SuperSeries AAA Bracket Madness Tournament and returned to Pittsburgh with the Tournament Championship and banner.

The Stars opened play on Friday and dropped a tough 3-2 decision to the Connecticut Junior Rangers.

They returned to the ice Friday afternoon and skated to a 6-1 win over the Jersey Hitmen to even their record and begin a run of wins on their way to the Championship.

On Saturday, the 14U Stars returned to the ice and picked up a big 10-1 win over the Utica Comets.

Saturday evening the Stars concluded round-robin play with a 2-1 shootout win over CP Dynamo.  The win locked the Stars into the number two seed and advanced them to the semi-finals to meet the Rochester Monarchs, the number three seed.

In the Sunday morning semi-final game, the Stars would skate to an emphatic 6-1 win over Rochester, a win that would set-up a rematch with the Connecticut Junior Rangers in the tournament championship game.

The Stars would turn the table in the championship game and defeat the Jr. Rangers, 3-1, to capture the SuperSeries 2003 Bracket Madness Tournament and finish the weekend with a 5-1-0-0 record.
