NAPHL - Pittsburgh Showcase Highlights Week's Action

Pittsburgh, PA - The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey program will have all seven of its teams back in exciting action this upcoming weekend, Feb. 3 - 5, highlight by the NAPHL - Pittsburgh Showcase.

The U18, U16, U13, U12 and U11 Stars teams will all be in action at the North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) - Pittsburgh Showcase this weekend. The event, held in conjunction with the NAHL Top Prospects Showcase, will see scouts from all levels of hockey, from the NHL, to NCAA, to both the USHL and NAHL in attendance for the weekend.

The U18 AAA Esmark Stars open the fourth NAPHL Showcase of the season on Friday, Feb 3, with a pair of contests. First up at 11:10 a.m. is a match-up with Mid-Am rival the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets. Then later Friday evening, the Stars will face the Madison Capitols at 5:10 p.m. On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Stars U18 AAA squad will face the Tri-State Spartans at 5:00 p.m. The Stars close their NAPHL regular season schedule with a Sunday, Feb. 5, game against cross-town rival Pittsburgh Penguins Elite at 1:15 p.m. All four games will be played at the UPMC Lemieux Center in Cranberry Township, PA.

The U16 AAA Esmark Stars open their fourth NAPHL Showcase of the season on Friday, Feb 3, with a 2:00 p.m. match-up with the Tri-State Spartans at the Lemieux Center. On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Stars Midget Minor team will take to the ice twice. First they will face CarShield AAA at 9:30 a.m. They return to the ice to face their cross-town rivals, Pittsburgh Penguins Elite at 7:00 p.m. Both games will be at the UPMC Lemieux Center. The Stars close their NAPHL regular season schedule with a Sunday, March 5, game against the Madison Capitols at 8:30 a.m. at the RMU Island Sports Complex on Neville Island.

The U13 Esmark Stars will open NAPHL-Pittsburgh Showcase play with a pair of Friday, Feb. 3, games. First up is a 11:00 a.m. game against Biggby AAA. Then later on Friday, the Stars Bantam Minor squad will square-off with Omaha Mastery at 6:00 p.m. The Stars complete round-robin play with a 6:00 p.m. game against the Jersey Shore Whalers on Saturday, Feb. 4. Seeding for consolation and championship game will take place at the conclusion of round-robin play. The U13 Championship game is set for 11:00 a.m. All 13U AAA division games will be played at the RMU Island Sports Complex on Neville Island.

The U12 Esmark Stars will likewise open NAPHL-Pittsburgh Showcase play with a pair of Friday, Feb. 3, games. First up is a 10:00 a.m. game against the Jersey Shore Whalers. Then later on Friday, the Stars Pee Wee Major squad will square-off with the Sylvania Northstars at 4:30 p.m. The Stars complete round-robin play with a 8:30 p.m. game against the Pittsburgh Predators on Saturday, Feb. 4. Seeding for consolation and championship game will take place at the conclusion of round-robin play. The U12 Championship game is set for 9:30 a.m. All 12U AAA division games will be played at the RMU Island Sports Complex on Neville Island.

The U11 Esmark Stars will also open NAPHL-Pittsburgh Showcase play with a pair of Friday, Feb. 3, games. First up is a 7:00 a.m. game against the the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite. Then later on Friday, the Stars Pee Wee Minor squad will square-off with CarShield AAA at 1:30 p.m. The Stars complete round-robin play with a 2:30 p.m. game against the Tri-State Spartans on Saturday, Feb. 4. Seeding for consolation and championship game will take place at the conclusion of round-robin play. The U12 Championship game is set for 8:00 a.m. All 12U AAA division games will be played at the RMU Island Sports Complex on Neville Island.

The U15 AAA Esmark Stars will welcome Biggby AAA Hockey to the friendly confines of Pittsburgh Ice Arena on Friday, Feb. 3. Opening face-off is set for 7:40 p.m.

And finally the U14 AAA Esmark Stars will welcome the Amherst Knights to Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a pair of games on Saturday, Feb. 4. Opening face-offs are set for 1:40 and 6:00 p.m.
