Pittsburgh, PA - The Esmark Stars AAA Pee Wee Major squad captured their fourth championship title of the season as they skated to the SuperSeries - Pittsburgh Showcase title.

Esmark's 12U squad opened the showcase splitting their first two games on Friday, Jan 6, grabbing a 4-2 win over the Palmyra Black Knights and dropping a 5-2 decision to the Rochester Coalition.

The Stars would skate to a pair of victories on Saturday, Jan 7, securing a 10-1 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers and a 4-2 win over the Sylvania Northstars to close round-robin plan.

The Stars were victorious in a semi-final rematch, 4-1, over the Palmyra Black Knights, Sunday, Jan 8, morning. This set up an all-Pittsburgh Finals, as the Stars and the Pittsburgh Predators advanced to the championship late Sunday morning.

The Stars would grab the title with a 8-3 win as Xypher Zamias (2G, 1A), Nathan Ross (2G), Conner Eich, (2G), Asan Abdygulov (1G, 1A),  and Caden Biddle were credited with scoring goals. Beau Ritson (2A), Ryder Martin and Logan Jenkins were all credited with assists. And Xavier Haduch earned the victory in goal.

In addition to the SuperSeries-Pittsburgh Showcase title, the Pee Wee Major Stars tournament titles include the season opening International Tournament in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, the CCM Motown Classic in October in Troy, MI, and the NAPHL - St. Louis Showcase in November.
