Pittsburgh, PA - Derek Pietrzyk, a member of the Midget U18 Esmark Stars, and Vitaliy Ulianov, a member of the Midget U15 Pure Esmark Stars (2007) squad, were each selected as the Player's of the Week for the Midget 15U Pure and Midget 18U, for week 16 of the Tier 1 Hockey Federation (T1HF) season.

Ulianov was recognized for accruing four points (2G,2A), including a power play and a shorthanded goal, as well as his strong work on the penalty kill, in the second game of two-game home split with the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets.

Pietrzyk was recognized for his work in a two-game road sweep of the Cleveland Barons as he notched four points (2G, 2A). He set up a pair of goals in Esmark's 3-1 win in the two-game set opener and then found the back of the net for a pair of goals in the Stars 3-0 shutout win in game two.

The T1HF announces the Players of the Week for each age classification at the conclusion of each week of play.
