Weekend Preview: Sept 10 & 11

U11, U13, U14, U15, U16 & U18 Esmark Stars in Action

Pittsburgh, PA - The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey Program has plenty of hockey action scheduled for this upcoming weekend.

The U11 Esmark Stars open their 2022-23 season in Boston, MA, at the SuperSeries AAA Boston Breakout.  On Friday, Sept. 9, the U11 Stars open with the Washington Little Caps, 12:30 p.m., at the Gallant Arena on the campus of Merrimack College.  Later on Friday, 5:00 p.m., the Pee Wee Minor Stars face the Springfield Jr Thunderbirds at the Ristuccia Memorial Arena in Wilmington, MA. Then on Saturday, Sept 10, 8:00 a.m., the Stars will face IHC Platinum back at the Ristuccia Arena. Saturday afternoon, 3:50 p.m., the Stars square-off with the Seacoast Spartans at the Salem ICenter, in Salem, NH. They close the five-game event with a Sunday, Sept 11 game, 11:00 a.m., against Top Gun T1 back at the ICenter.

The U13 Stars return to the ice this weekend as they head north to Buffalo for a four-game weekend.  On Saturday, Sept 10 they will have a double-header with the U13 Buffalo Jr. Sabres.  Game one is set for 12:30 p.m. and the nightcap for 5:30 p.m.  Both games are at the Harborcreek facility in downtown Buffalo. On Sunday, the Bantam Minor Stars face the Buffalo Regals in a pair of games, 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at the Hyde Park Arena in Niagara Falls, NY.

Meanwhile, the U14, U15, U16 and U18 teams will be in New Jersey for Tier 1 Hockey Federation League games.

The U14 Stars open their T1HF League schedule as they hit the ice twice on Saturday, Sept 10.  First up is the Mercer Chiefs at 12:45 p.m., in Hamilton, NJ. Then they face the Jersey Hitmen at 6:45 p.m. at the Ice Vault in Wayne, NJ, Saturday evening.

The U15 Stars and Mercer Chiefs will square-off on Saturday, 2:30 p.m., at the Ice Land Skating Center in Hamilton, NJ, in T1HF League play.  They close the two-game league set on Sunday at 8:30 a.m., back at Ice Land.

Likewise, the U16 Stars and Mercer Chiefs will square-off this weekend.  They open the two-game T1HF league set on Saturday, 4:45 p.m., at the Ice Land Skating Center in Hamilton, NJ.  They close the two-game series set on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., back at Ice Land.

Finally, the U18 Stars and Mercer Chiefs will also square-off for a pair of T1HF games. They open the series on Saturday, 6:45 p.m., at Ice Land.  Then close their two-game league set on Sunday at 12:30 a.m., also at Ice Land.

The Stars U12 squad, fresh from their trip to Kyrgyzstan, will enjoy the weekend off.
