NAPHL announces 2021-22 T1ER All-14U Bantam Major Teams

Dopson and McClaine Named

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced its All-NAPHL Tier I 14U 1st and 2nd Teams for the 2021-22 season.

Consideration and selection were based on player performance in all NAPHL regular season and playoff games throughout the 2021-22 season.

The 14U Esmark Stars AAA Hockey team had two players named to the All-NAPHL Tier I 14U Teams for the 2021-22 season.  Defenseman Trey Dopson was named to the league's All-NAPHL 14U First Team. Forward Emmet McClaine was named to the league's All-NAPHL 14U Second Team.

In 16 regular season 2021-22 NAPHL appearances, Dopson, who is from Canonsburg, PA, recorded 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) including one power-play goal and two game-winning goals. He finished the regular season as the second leading scorer in the NAPHL among defenseman. He added 3 points (1 goals, 2 assists) in four Dixon Cup NAPHL Playoff games.

Overall, Dopson recorded 23 points (7 goals, 16 assists), including two power-play goals in 59 games played.

McClaine, a native of Chicora, PA, scored 23 points (15 goals, 8 assists), including three power-play goals, one shorthanded goal, and one game winning goal, in 16 NAPHL regular season appearances. He added 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in four Dixon Cup NAPHL Playoff games, including two power-play goals.

Overall, McClaine recorded 76 points (46 goals, 30 assists), including 13 power-play goals, 5 shorthanded goals, and a team leading +/- rating of +47 in 60 games played.
