Esmark Stars AAA in Action

The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey program is scheduled to return to the ice in full swing this upcoming week, Jan. 14-17.

The three youngest Esmark AAA teams are all entered and were scheduled to participate in the Prospects by Sports Illustrated The Cup Buffalo 2022 Tournament in the greater Buffalo Region.

The U11 AAA Stars (17-26-3-0) will open play on Friday, Jan 14, with a pair of games. First up is the Boston Jr. Terriers (9-21-3-0) at 10:20 a.m. at the Leisure Rinks in West Seneca , NY. Then an afternoon tilt with the Hyland Hills Jaguars (CO) (12-14-7-0)at 1:50 p.m., also at Leisure Rinks. On Saturday, Jan. 15, the Pee Wee Minor Stars will against hit the ice for a pair of round-robing games, 1:50 p.m. vs Top Gun Elite (NH) (15-19-5-1) and  5:20 p.m. vs the Jersey Hitmen (15-17-6-0).  Both games will be played at the Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga. Quarter-final, semi-final and a championship game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 16. Seeding for these games will occur after round-robin play is completed.

The Esmark Stars U13 AAA team (18-25-2-0) will open play on Friday, Jan 14, with a pair of games. First up is the East Coast Spartans (MA) (8-15-3-0) at 9:30 a.m. at the Northtown Center in Amherst, NY. Then an afternoon tilt with the Anaheim Ice Dogs (16-15-4-0) at 2:15 p.m., at the CFCU Arena in Lockport, NY. On Saturday, Jan. 15, the Bantam Minor Stars will against hit the ice for a pair of round-robing games, 7:50 a.m. vs the Springfield Rifles (MA) (17-14-3-0), at the Depew Ice Pavilion in Depew, NY, and  1:45 p.m. vs the Buffalo Jr Sabres (15-20-4-0) at the Harborcenter Facility in Buffalo, NY.  Quarter-final, semi-final and a championship game will be played on Sunday, Jan. 16. Seeding for these games will occur after round-robin play is completed.

Esmark's U12 AAA Stars (12-28-5-0) were also scheduled to participate in the Prospects by Sports Illustrated The Cup Buffalo 2022 Tournament but were forced to cancel the trip due to health issues.

The three older Esmark Stars AAA teams will return to NAPHL league action this upcoming weekend.

The Stars Bantam Major 14U AAA squad (20-15-7-0) will be in the Greater Detroit area for a NAPHL Showcase, Jan 15 - 17. On Saturday, Jan. 15, the Stars open the event with a 5:00 p.m. face-off against the Vegas Golden Knights (36-8-1-1) at Suburban Ice in Rochester, MI. On Sunday the Stars face the Chicago Reapers (35-15-3-3) at 9:00 a.m. and then the Tri-State Spartans (15-19-4-0) at 3:00 p.m. Both Sunday games are at Suburban Ice. On Monday, Esmark's Bantam Major squad closes their league showcase with a 7:15 a.m. opening face-off against CarShield AAA (30-15-2-3) at the Royal Oak Rink in Royal Oak, MI.

The Esmark U16 squad (27-10-2-2) will travel to Fishers, IN, for a NAPHL Showcase, Jan 15 - 17. On Saturday, Jan. 15, the Stars open the event with a 7:00 a.m. face-off against the North Star Christian Academy Knights (27-6-0-3). Later Saturday evening, they return to the ice to face the Des Moines Buccaneers (17-14-0-3) at 6:20 p.m. On Sunday afternoon, 1:00 p.m., the Stars will square-off with the Chicago Reapers (24-22-2-1). Then on Monday, Esmark's Midget Minor squad will close the NAPHL event with a 7:00 a.m. game against CarShield AAA (27-16-0-4). All games will be played at the Fishers Fuel Tank in Fishers, IN.

Esmark's U18 Midget Major squad (27-6-3-2) will also travel to Fishers, IN, for a NAPHL Showcase, Jan 15 - 17. On Saturday, Jan. 15, the Stars open the event with a 2:10 p.m. face-off against the Des Moines Buccaneers (18-16-1-3). On Sunday, Jan. 16, the Stars Midget Major team will play twice. First up will be the Chicago Reapers (31-10-0-3), the nation's 18th ranked 18U Tier I team (www.myhockeyrankings.com), at 9:00 a.m. Then Sunday evening, 8:00 p.m., the Stars will square-off with CarShield AAA (20-20-0-5). On Monday, Esmark's 18U AAA squad will close the NAPHL event with a 9:00 a.m. game against the North Star Christian Academy Knights (31-5-0-1), the nation's fifth ranked overall 18U AAA team (www.myhockeyrankings.com). All 18U Stars games will be played at the Fishers Fuel Tank in Fishers, IN.
