It will be a light weekend, Nov. 12-14, for the Esmark Stars AAA Hockey program as they continues their Fall march into November.

The only Stars team in action, the U11 Pee Wee Minor team, will head West on I-76 to Mentor, OH, to participate in the Cleveland Invite Showcase. On Friday, the Stars (9-17-2-0) open the showcase with a 12:45 p.m. opening face-off against the Ohio Prospects (8-10-3-0) at the Mentor Ice Arena, in Mentor, OH. Friday evening, 8:15 p.m., the Stars return to action as they face the PSM Force (4-8-1-0), out of Fort Wayne, IN, at the Mentor Arena. On Saturday, the Stars hit the ice at 1:30 p.m. against Fox Motors (12-8-1-0) back at the Mentor Arena. Later Saturday night, the Stars face the Carolina Premier U11 club (0-8-0-0) at 8:00 p.m. at the Euclid Ice Arena in Euclid, OH. The Pee Wee Minor Stars close the showcase with a 10:30 a.m. Sunday opening face-off back at the Mentor Ice Arena against the Buffalo Saints (10-12-0-1).

Both the Stars U16 (15-4-1-2) and U18 (14-3-2-1) squads were scheduled to play the Nichols School respective U16 & U18 squads this weekend, but the games were cancelled on Friday due to a scheduling conflict.

So the U18 and U16 Stars, as well as the U12, U13 and U14 teams, will enjoy the weekend off.
