ESMARK U11, U12, U13 and U14 in at CCM World Invite Motown: U18 weekend series with Victory Honda

The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey program will be back to near full swing as the U11, U12, U13 and U14 teams all head to the Motor City (Detroit, MI), for the CCM World Invite Motown Hockey Tournament, Oct. 15 - 17, and the U18 Midget Major Stars have a showdown with the nation's #4 ranked Victory Honda in a pair of weekend games.

The Stars U14 Bantam Major squad (6-4-3-0) will open the Motown Tournament on Friday with a pair of games at the Kennedy Ice Center in Trenton, MI.  First up will be the Connecticut Jr Rangers (9-11-0-0) at 7:40 a.m.  Then Friday afternoon, the Stars will face HoneyBaked (3-3-1-0)  at 2:20 p.m. The 14U Stars close round-robin play on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. against the Nashville Jr. Predators (4-4-1-2) at the Kennedy Ice Center. Quarter-final, semi-final and championship games will be determined post round-robin play.

The Stars U13 Bantam Minor squad (5-9-0-0) will open the Motown Tournament on Friday with a pair of games.  First up will be Compuware (10-1-2-1) at 7:45 a.m. at the Novi Ice Center in Novi, MI. Then Friday afternoon, the Stars will face St. Clair Shores (6-4-2-0)  at 3:15 p.m.  at the Viking Arena in Hazel Park, MI. The 13U Stars close round-robin play on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. against the Middlesex Islanders Platinum (8-1-1-0) back at the Novi Ice Arena. Quarter-final, semi-final and championship games will be determined post round-robin play.

The Stars U12 Pee Wee Major squad (5-9-3-0) will open the Motown Tournament on Friday with a pair of games.  First up will be Oakland Jr Grizzlies (5-5-1-0) at 10:30 a.m. at Suburban Ice in Rochester, MI. Then Friday afternoon, the Stars will face Milwaukee Jr Admirals (6-7-1-1)  at 4:10 p.m.  at the Troy  Sports Center in Troy, MI.  The 12U Stars close round-robin play on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. against Victory Honda (2-4-3-0) back at the Oak Park Arena, in Oak Park, MI. Quarter-final, semi-final and championship games will be determined post round-robin play.

The Stars U11 Pee Wee Minor squad (5-9-0-0) will open the Motown Tournament on Friday with a pair of games at the Big Boy Arena in Fraser, MI.  First up will be the Troy Sting (8-2-1-0) at 7:40 a.m. Then Friday afternoon, the Stars will face the Florida Alliance (0-0-0-0)  at 5:25 p.m. The 11U Stars close round-robin play on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against the Fort Wayne Force (4-4-0-0) back at the Big Boy Arena. Quarter-final, semi-final and championship games will be determined post round-robin play.

Meanwhile, the U18 Stars (10-3-0-1), ranked #18 (www.myhockeyrankings.com) in the nation, will square-0ff with #4 ranked Victory Honda (11-4-0-0) on Saturday, Oct. 16, at the Northwest Arena in Jamestown, NY. On Sunday the two Midget Major clubs will see each other at the Mercyhurst Ice Center in Erie, PA at 10:00 a.m.

The Stars U16 squad is off this weekend.
