Weekend Preview: Oct. 1 - 4

Esmark Teams in Full Swing

The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey program will have all six of its teams (U11, U12, U13, U14, U16 & U18) in action this weekend, Oct. 1 - 4.

The Midget Major (U18), Midget Minor (U16) and Bantam Major (U14) Esmark Stars will be in St. Louis, MO, at the St. Peters Rec Plex, for the second North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) event of the season, Friday - Monday.

The U14 Stars (4-2-3-0) open play on Friday, Oct. 1, with a pair of games. First up is a 11:45 a.m. game against event host Car Shield AAA (7-4-0-1). They return to the ice at 2:00 p.m. to face the Chicago Reapers (8-6-0-1). On Saturday, Oct. 2, the U14 Stars will face the Madison Capitals (3-5-0-0) at 3:15 p.m. The Bantam Major Stars close the Showcase with a 9:00 a.m. game against the Des Moines Buccaneers (0-13-0-0) on Sunday, Oct. 3.

The U16 Stars (10-1-1-0) open play on Saturday, Oct. 2, with a pair of games.  First up will be the Des Moines Buccaneers (4-2-0-2) at 9:15 a.m. Then at 9:15 p.m. they square-off with the Chicago Reapers (4-5-0-0). On Sunday, 5:00 p.m., they will face the host Car Shield AAA (4-5-0-2). The Midget Minor Stars will then close their  showcase with a 8:15 a.m. faceoff on Monday, Oct. 4, vs Northstar Christian Academy (5-1-0-0)

The U18 Stars (8-1-1-0) open play on Saturday, Oct. 2, 1:00 p.m., against Northstar Christian Academy (6-0-0-0). On Sunday, Oct. 3, the Stars Midget Major squad will hit the ice twice.  First up is a 1:15 p.m. game with the Des Moines Buccaneers (7-1-1-0).  Then the Stars face the Chicago Reapers (7-2-0-0) at 7:15 p.m. The U18 Stars close the event on Monday, Oct. 4, 12:00 p.m., against Showcase host Car Shield AAA (4-3-0-3).

Esmark's U13 Bantam Minor team (5-7-0-0) will welcome the U13 Ohio AAA Blue Jackets (3-3-2-1) to the Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a double-header on Saturday, Oct. 2, 12:00 p.m. and 5:10 p.m.

The U12 Pee Wee Major AAA Esmark Stars (3-6-1-0) continue their 2021-22 opening homestand at Pittsburgh Ice Arena  as they welcome the Carolina Premier (2-0-0-0) for a pair of weekend games. The two squads will square off on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and then close the weekend set on Sunday at 8:00 a.m.

Likewise, the U11 Pee Wee Minor AAA Esmark Stars (4-8-0-0) will continue their homestand with four games this weekend at Pittsburgh Ice Arena. They will host the 11U Ohio AAA Blue Jackets (0-0-0-0) for a pair of games on Saturday, Oct. 2, 12:00 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. And then on Sunday, Oct. 3, they will welcome the Rochester Americans (6-6-1-0) to Pittsburgh for a pair of games, 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
