All Esmark Stars AAA Hockey Teams in Action

The Esmark Stars AAA Program has all of its teams back in action this weekend, as the Stars 18U, 16U and 15U Midget teams all travel to Fishers, IN, and the Indy Fuel Tank for a North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) regional showcase.

The event, the eighth and final regular season event of the 2020-21 NAPHL season, begins play on Friday, Jan. 15, with action in the U15 bracket.  The 15s wrap up league play on Sunday.  The 16s and 18s will begin play on Saturday, Jan. 16, and play till Monday, Jan. 18, Martin Luther King Day.   A majority of games will be played at the Indy Fuel Tank in Fishers.

The U15 Stars (15-18-0-1) open the NAPHL - Fishers event with a pair of games on Friday.  First up is Meijer (MI) AAA (8-15-2-2), at 11:45 a.m.  Later Friday evening, the U15 Stars face the host Indy Fuel (8-26-2-1), at 5:45 p.m. Saturday evening the Stars return to the ice to face the Tri-State (OH) Spartans (11-21-1-2) at 6:00 p.m.  The U15 squad concludes the event with a 7:00 a.m. repeat game against against Meijer AAA (8-15-2-2).

The U16 Stars (19-13-1-0) open the NAPHL - Fishers event with a Saturday late morning game, 11:00 a.m., against Gilmour Academy (OH) (18-14-1-0).  On Saturday, the Midget Minor Stars play a pair of games. First up is Team Illinois (13-9-2-2), at 9:00 a.m.  Later Saturday afternoon, 4 p.m., they face the Tri-State Spartans (OH) (10-22-4-2).  The U16 Stars close the event with a 9:00 a.m. face-off on Monday versus the host Indy Fuel (17-15-1-1).

The U18 Stars (24-12-4-0) open the NAPHL - Fishers event with a Saturday afternoon game, 4:00 p.m., against the Tri-State Spartans (OH) (18-17-3-2).  On Saturday, the Midget Major Stars play a pair of games. First up is the event host Indy Jr Fuel (15-15-0-2), at 11:00 a.m.  Later Saturday evening, 8 p.m., they face the Mercer Chiefs (NJ) (15-2-4-0) at the Farmers Coliseum at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  The U18 Stars close the event with an 11:00 a.m. face-off on Monday against Gilmour Academy (9-17-4-1).

Now in its 12th season, no other USA Hockey youth league does more for its players than the NAPHL. Operated by the full-time staff of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), who make it their mission to outperform others both on and off the ice in promoting its players. The NAPHL has proved over the years that the league is a great stepping-stone for development and training for young hockey players looking to gain experience and knowledge to work their way up to the National level.

Finally, the U12 AAA Stars (14-11-1-0) will square-off in a pair of Saturday afternoon games, 12:00 and 3:00 p.m., against the 2008 Rochester Coalition (5-4-0-0).  Both games will be played at the ErieBank Sports Park in Erie, PA.
