Stars Midget Teams in Action

The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey program will have all three of its midget teams (U18, U16 and U15) in action in Pittsburgh this upcoming weekend, Nov. 6 - 8, as they all participate in the Steel City Showcase, presented by Midwest Hockey Development, in some degree.

The U15 Stars (11-10-0-1) will play the Nashville Jr. Predators (5-9-0-0) at the Alpha Ice Complex in Harmarville, PA, on Saturday, Nov. 7, 5:30 p.m., as part of the Showcase.  A game originally scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, between the U15 Stars and the BK Selects face-off has been cancelled.  On Sunday, Nov. 8, 1:00 p.m., the U15 Stars play host to the nation's #19 ranked New Jersey Rockets (19-7-3-0), at the Pittsburgh Ice Arena, in a home game not associated with the Showcase.

Likewise, Esmark's 16U AAA squad returns to action this weekend as they play a pair of games in the  Steel City Showcase. On Saturday, 8:30 p.m., the Stars (10-7-0-0) will face the Syracuse (NY) Nationals (7-3-0-0) at the Alpha Ice Complex in Harmarville, PA.  On Sunday, the U16 Stars and the the nation's #15 ranked Nashville Jr Predators (7-5-0-0)  will square off at 9:00 a.m. at the Alpha Ice Complex.

The U18 AAA Stars will also be in action this weekend at the Steel City Showcase. The U18 Stars (11-5-0-1) will open the event on Friday, Nov. 6, 3:00 p.m., against the Tri-State (OH) Spartans (7-5-2-1) at the Pittsburgh Ice Arena.  Late Saturday morning, Nov. 7, 11:30 a.m., the Stars and the nation's #15 ranked Nashville (TN) Jr Predators will square off at 11:30 a.m. at the Alpha Ice Complex in Harmarville.  Later Saturday evening, 6:30 p.m., the Stars and the nation's #9 ranked Belle Tire (MI) AAA Hockey (13-3-1-2) will square off at 6:30 p.m. at the Alpha Ice Complex.  The Stars will play a fourth game, either a 1 vs 2 or 3 vs 4, following completion of the round-robin games, Sunday morning, 9:40 or 11:40 a.m., at the Pittsburgh Ice Arena.  Time and opponent to be determined.

The U12 Esmark Stars (9-9-0-0) team will enjoy a weekend off.
