NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for October 2019

Three Esmark Stars Players Honored

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) has announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of October. 

The players were selected based upon their performance at the second NAPHL event of the season, which took place in Attleboro, MA, Oct. 4-6, 2019. Stats were based on all games played at the league's Eastern Showcase which saw the NAPHL's 18U and 16U High Performance and Eastern Divisions in action.

In the Midget U16 AAA Division, Esmark defenseman Regan Kallis was honored, as he was selected as the number one star for U16 defenseman.

The 5’9/155 lbs. native of St. Albert, Alberta, recorded seven points (1 goal, 6 assists) in four games to help the Stars to a 3-1 record at the event. That included three, multi-point games in wins over the New Jersey Jr. Titans, Northeast Generals, and Everett Silvertips Elite. Kallis’ best effort was a three point game in a 9-2 win over Everett.

In addition, Esmark Stars U16 forward Alexander Keller was honored, as he was selected as the number three star for U16 forwards. The 5’9/155 lbs. from Bridgeville, PA, recorded nine points (5 goals, 4 assists) in four games, including five points (1 goal, 4 assists) in a win over the Northeast Generals.

In the Midget U18 AAA Division, Stars goaltender Danny Mitchell was honored as the 18U Goaltender Peak Performer.

Mitchell appeared in two games stopping 53 of the 56 shots he faced with a goals against average of 1.50 a save percentage of .946% and recorded a record of 1-0-0-1, in a 3-1 win over the Seacoast Spartans and a 2-1 overtime loss to the New Jersey Jr. Titans.

Mitchell was previously selected as the number two star 18U Goaltender at the opening NAPHL event of the season in Blaine, MN.
