Esmark Stars U16 and U18 In Action

The Esmark Stars U16 and U18 AAA squads will return to action this upcoming weekend, featuring three exciting home games.

The U16 Esmark Stars (17-10-0-1) open their 2019-2020 home schedule, and play a special Friday evening game, this Friday, Nov. 22, as they welcome Mid-Am rival the Indy Jr. Fuel (8-19-0-0) to the friendly confines of Pittsburgh Ice Arena for a 5:20 p.m. face-off.

Prior to the game, the Stars will pay honor with a special ceremony and remembrance to Alina Sheykhet, a 20 year-old student at the University of Pittsburgh who was murdered on campus in 2017. The game and event are open to the public.

The two 16U squads conclude the two-game set, the back end of a home and home series, when they return to the ice at the Pittsburgh Ice Arena on Saturday afternoon for a 4:00 p.m. tilt.

The U16 Stars captured the two game set in Indianapolis in early Sept. by scores of 5-4 and 9-3.

Meanwhile, the U18 Stars (21-3-4-3) will face-off against the Gilmour Academy Lancers (14-5-1-1) in a weekend home-and-home series.

On Saturday, Nov. 23, the two clubs hook-up at 7:00 p.m. on the campus of Gilmour Academy.  Then on Sunday, Nov. 24, the teams conclude the weekend series with a 11:00 a.m. face-off at Pittsburgh Ice Arena.

All three home games at the Pittsburgh Ice Arena are free and open to the public. Stars fans are encouraged to attend.

The U15 Stars will enjoy an unscheduled weekend off as they try and recover from several injuries that have decimated their roster.
