Stars Set for NAPHL III

15U, 16U and 18U travel to the Lone Star State

The Esmark Stars AAA Hockey club (15U, 16U and 18U) will take their show south this upcoming weekend, Nov. 16-18, as they travel to Dallas, TX, for the third North American Prospect Hockey League (NAPHL) Showcase of the 2019-2020 season.

The 15U Stars (13-10-2-0) will open the Showcase on Saturday, 5:15 p.m., vs Florida Alliance 15U AAA squad at the Children's Health StarCenter Plano in Plano, TX. On Sunday, Nov. 17, the 15U Stars take to the ice twice. First they square-off with the Everett SilverTips Elite 15U AAA squad at 1:15 p.m., at the Children's Health StarCenter McKinney in McKinney, TX. They return to the ice Sunday evening, 7:15 p.m., and face the Arizona Bobcats at the Children's Health StarCenter Plano. They close the showcase with a 9:15 a.m. clash on Monday with CarShield AAA at the Children's Health StarCenter Plano.

The 16U Stars (15-9-0-0) open the Showcase on Saturday with a pair of games.  First up will be a 7:15 a.m. faceoff against Minnesota-based Gentry Galaxy, the nation's number one ranked team (according to  the website www.myhockeyrankings.com), at the Children's Health StarCenter McKinney in McKinney, TX. Then Saturday night, 9:15 p.m., the 16U Stars face the Colorado Springs Tigers at the Children's Health StarCenter McKinney. On Sunday, Nov. 17, the 16U Stars square-off with the Florida Hockey Alliance 16U AAA squad at 3:15 p.m., at the Children's Health StarCenter Plano in Plano, TX. They close the showcase with a 7:00 a.m. match on Monday with Michigan-based Meijer AAA at the Children's Health StarCenter McKinney.

The 18U Stars (19-2-4-2) open the Showcase on Saturday with a 3:00 p.m. face-off against Washington state based Everett SilverTips Elite 18U AAA , at the Children's Health StarCenter Frisco in Frisco, TX.  The 18U Stars return to the ice twice on Saturday. First up is 9:00 a.m. game with St. Louis-based CarShield AAA at the Children's Health StarCenter McKinney in McKinney, TX. Then Saturday night, 7:00 p.m., the 18U Stars face Canadian powerhouse Notre Dame Hounds U18 AAA club at the Children's Health StarCenter Frisco, The 18U Stars close the showcase with a 9:00 a.m. face-off on Monday with South Dakota-based Sioux Falls Power AAA at the Children's Health StarCenter McKinney. 

All three Esmark Stars teams participate in the NAPHL's High Performance Division. The NAPHL regular season includes four regular season showcases at the 18U and 16U levels and three regular season showcases at the 15U level. Then, in February, the NAPHL will conduct their annual league playoffs,  Dixon Cup Championships in Troy, MI, as teams in all three divisions pursue the league's playoff championship.
