The U18 and U16 Esmark Stars AAA headed across the PA and Ohio Turnpikes to Cleveland, OH, and the Barons Bus Arena for a pair of road games with the Cleveland Barons this past weekend, Oct. 26 & 27, 2019.

On Saturday the U16 squads hooked-up for the opening game of the weekend series and the Barons midget minor squad skated to a 3-1 win. Nathan Dickey suffered  the loss in goal in the penalty filled game.  The two squads closed the first half of the home and home series this season on Sunday morning with the Stars picking up a 4-2 win. Logan Marnik was the winning goalie for the Stars. The weekend split leaves the U16 Stars overall record to 14-5-0-0.

The two midget major squads would hook-up in the nightcap on Saturday evening as the U18 Stars would skate to a 2-1 win over the U18 Barons. Corbin Ragno and Dustin Geregach collected goals for the Stars. Dalton Swartz, Preston Muha, Brayden Morgan and Dominic Dezort earned assists. Connor Strobel earned the win in goal.

On Sunday afternoon, Esmark would complete the two-game sweep with a 2-1 win over Cleveland. Dustin Geregach would find the back of the net to knot the game 1-1 in the second period, with Nikita Zapolski and Alex Walker collecting the assists. In the third period, Ryder Brophy would score the game winner on a pretty set-up from Geregach. Connor Strobel would earn his second win of the weekend in goal.

The weekend sweep improves the U18 AAA Stars overall record to 16-1-3-2.

The U15 Stars (11-10-2-0) enjoyed an open weekend.
