Stars in Blaine for NAPHL play and Detroit for Motown Classic

The Esmark Stars AAA program hits the road for both league and tournament play this upcoming weekend, Oct. 20 - 23.

The U18, U16 and U15 Stars will be in Blaine, MN, for the second NAPHL league showcase of the season, while the the U14 and U12 Stars will be in Detroit, MI, to participate in the Bauer Motown Classic Tournament.

The U15 Stars (1-3-0 in NAPHL league play, 7-12-2-1 overall), will be participating in their second and final regular season showcase of the NAPHL season, and will face-off against the Washington Little Capitols, Madison Capitals, New Jersey Jr. Titans, Nashville Jr. Predators and Colorado Springs Tigers. The event will conclude the NAPHL's 9-game regular season schedule and solidify positions for the NAPHL's U15 Playoffs, in Blaine, MN, Dec. 1 - 4, 2017.

The U16 Stars (0-0-0 in NAPHL league play, 9-7-1-0 overall), will be participating in their second NAPHL sponsored event of the season, but first that applies towards league standings. They will face off against the California Titans, Pursuit of Excellence (out of Vancouver, British Columbia), Colorado Springs Tigers, and Thunder Bay Kings (out of Thunder Bay, Ontario).

The U18 Stars (1-0-0-1 in NAPHL league play, 9-7-0-3 overall), will be participating in their second NAPHL sponsored event of the season. They will face off against the Colorado Springs Tigers, California Titans, Car Shield AAA (MO), and Meijer AAA (MI).

The U14 Stars (13 - 6 - 2- 1) will square-off with the Chelsea Chiefs Gold (MI), Meijer AAA (MI), and the Brampton 45's (Brampton, ONT) in tournament round-robin play.

The U12 Stars will square-off with South Florida Hockey Academy (FL), Livingston Lightning (CO), and Compuware in tournament round-robin play.

This past weekend, the U14 Stars opened their home schedule with a pair of wins on Saturday over the Wheatfield Blades (5-1 and 7-1).  Meanwhile the U12 Stars traveld to Parma, OH, for a pair of road games on Sunday and dropped a pair of decisions to the Parma Selects.
