The Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) drafted Esmark Stars 16U AAA forward Alex Singley in the 2016 NAHL Draft on June 7.

Singley was selected in the fourteenth round (pick #325) by the Tomahawks during the league's annual draft.

In 25 regular season NAPHL games, Singley tallied 17 points (6 goals and 11 assists) for Esmark's 16U squad. In four NAPHL playoff games he added 2 assists. Overall, in 64 games with the Stars, he finished with 44 points (17 goals, and 27 assists), including 4 power play goals.

"Alex is a big, strong forward who is truly coming into his own," said Esmark General Manager and U18 Head Coach Dave Kosick. "He has a tremendous reach and is dangerous every time he touches the puck."

"As Alex's game matures he has the potential to become a very special player," offered 16U head coach Yuri Krivokhija.

Singley, who also skated for Esmark's U16 AAA team during the 2014-15 season, was selected to the NAPHL's All-Star game this past season.

The Tomahawks skate in the North Division of the NAHL.
